Description
This product contains 49 exciting rewards that you can use with your students in lieu of a prize box. If you aren’t ready to part with your prize box, then no worries! Use it in addition to your prize box (Guess what!? I’ve included a reward for those of you who still love their prize box filled with trinkets!)
These rewards were created with your wallet and your precious time in mind. Most of the rewards (80% of them) are completely FREE. And the 20% of rewards that may cost money are either minimal or only a one-time investment. For example, the Student Royalty reward suggests that you purchase a king crown and a queen tiara for students to wear. Buy it once and you’ll have it for the rest of your teaching career. And some rewards you probably already have supplies for (i.e. I bet you have kid paints and paintbrushes hiding in a cabinet somewhere for the reward, Paint Time).

Ways to Implement this Reward System in Your Classroom:
- Create a Reward Binder: to set up the binder print out the 8.5 x11″ pages. Slip them into clear plastic pockets and place them into a three-ring binder. If you have a clearview 3-ring binder, then print out the cover page and binder spines.
- Create a Coupon Box: Print out the coupon pages and cut quickly using a paper cutter. Organize the coupons in tackle boxes, bead boxes, or nuts/bolts boxes. When a student chooses a reward you give them a coupon. Send home the editable parent letter with his/her coupon attached, so parents know that their child earned a reward. This comes in handy as a reminder to students who chose a prize that requires them to dress up the following day or to bring something from home.
- Create a Digital Reward Binder: Transfer the reward photos (PNG files) onto a classroom device. Store them in a folder labeled: “Digital Reward Binder”. When students earn a reward, they can swipe through the photos to choose their prize.
- Text or Email Parents a Reward Photo: Do you text with your students’ parents? Send them a quick message with a PNG attachment of their child’s earned reward. This is a no-fuss way to communicate their achievements and it can also serve as a reminder (for example, “Sammy earned a reward today! She chose pajama day!!! Don’t forget to let Sammy wear her PJs to school tomorrow.” -Mrs. N)
- Share the Digital Reward Binder: A Google Slides version is included. You can upload this Digital Reward Binder to your Google Classroom or share it on another online classroom platform.
Personal Experience:
I’ve successfully used this reward system in my classroom for over a decade! The kids and parents love the rewards! As an educator, I love that these rewards are (mostly) free and easy to implement. For example, making a GIF with your student doesn’t cost a dime and all it takes is a few minutes of your time spent with your student creating something fun with them.
